Abstract

The essay considers the scenario of an evolution of health protection models in the workplace imagining that, in parallel with the fulfillment of mandatory prevention measures (art. 2087 c.c.; d.lgs. n. 81/2008), employers invest to transform voluntary health promotion programs (art. 25, paragraph 1, letter a) d.lgs. n. 81/2008) into subsidiary measures for the prevention of non-occupational health risks. Illustrated how these subsidiary prevention initiatives can, at the same time, satisfy the longevity expectations of workers (more effectively thanks to the evolution of precision preventive medicine techniques), support the public health system, and also improve the effectiveness of health and safety protection tools in the workplace, the study focuses on the identification of some lines of labor law research functional to the development of this type of project in a context of sustainability for people and employers.
